Primary Responsibilities:
- Manage, run, and maintain a Windows Server infrastructure environment;
- Responsible for general systems administration tasks including system configuration management, OS installations, security updates, urgent system patching;
- Effectively collaborate with Server / Storage / Network / Data Center / Facilities / Audit / Compliance and PMO teams;
- Follow established Enterprise change management procedures;
- Participate in Business Continuation / Disaster Recovery infrastructure planning, building, and testing;
- Find root cause of problems and escalate to vendor support as necessary;
- Perform Capacity Management functions;
- Manage problem and service tickets ensuring timely resolution to meet Service Level Agreements;
- Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures;
- Contribute to and maintain system standards, policies, and procedures;
- Maintain system performance by performing system monitoring and analysis, performance tuning, troubleshooting system hardware, software, and operating system issues;
- Ensure correct installation, configuration, use, and maintenance of our windows server infrastructure;
- Install new/rebuild existing servers and configuration hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standard and project/operational requirements;
- Research and recommend automated approaches for system administration tasks where possible;
- Create and maintain documentation and transfer knowledge to other team members.
Skills & Experience:
- 3+ years of work experience as a Windows System Administrator;
- Knowledge of VDI technologies;
- Experience with Microsoft Systems: Windows Server 2008/2012/2016, Active Directory design and management, Group Policy, SCCM, DNS, DHCP, WSUS, Federation services, Certificate authority, Network policy and access services, File & print services, Windows 10;
- Technical knowledge of HP/IBM/Dell hardware, particularly blade technology is a plus;
- Knowledge of Windows scripting / programming skills;
- Demonstrated experience using an ITIL based ticketing systems;
- Demonstrated track record of service level management;
- Demonstrated Root Cause Correct Action analysis, report generation, and presentation to customers;
- MCSA, MCSE or MCITP certifications (Windows 2008 or higher);
- Must have the ability to understand and relate to new products, technology, strategy and be able to follow directions;
- Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline intensive environment;
- Fluent Romanian & Russian (spoken and written);
- English (spoken and written) is a plus.
