Software Test Engineer
Our client is looking for a Software Test Engineer with experience in software testing and validation of complex embedded systems to join their engineering team and contribute to the development of high-quality, safety-critical solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze system and software requirements;
- Design and implement automated tests using Python, as well as perform manual testing activities;
- Execute functional, integration, and regression tests in laboratory and simulated environments;
- Prepare test specifications, document test results, and create detailed test reports;
- Analyze, document, and report defects, including initial root-cause analysis;
- Support verification and validation (V&V) activities;
- Collaborate closely with system engineers, software developers, safety specialists, and V&V teams;
- Contribute to improving testing processes, tools, automation strategies, and testing methodologies;
- Support audit preparation and ensure compliance with relevant safety standards.
Candidate Profile:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field;
- Professional experience in software testing, system validation, or embedded safety-critical systems;
- Experience with railway signalling systems (CBTC, ERTMS, Conventional Interlocking, ATO, Collision Warning Systems) is highly desirable;
- Strong knowledge of Python programming – mandatory requirement;
- Experience working with safety-related systems (SIL 1–4) and knowledge of EN 50716:2023 standard is an advantage;
- ISTQB Foundation Level certification is considered an advantage;
- Analytical mindset, attention to detail, and strong problem-solving skills;
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team and contribute proactively to technical improvements;
- Fluent English language skills are mandatory.
